The makers not only the listeners

Estonia, Gideon Camp 12.7.16 Mission Trip

 Listening and Doing
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in
what they do. ~James 1:22

We can constantly go to church like good Christians say amen after something that the pastor say and o home like nothing was said and act just same as before, or read the bible as a regular book, agree with what it says and do nothing about it. But James says do not merely listen to the word but
do what the word says.

Scripture number 25 says whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. The word of God gives true freedom! Therefor we can walk in his perfect eternal freedom, and live (daily) by his perfect law not forgetting what we have heard we will be blessed in what we do through the word of God. Just like looking into the mirror that reflect Jesus and not forgetting his bright face.
Faith and Deeds
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. ~James 2: 14

James repeats the same thing in other words in chapter 2:14, Faith without action is dead! We can believe God has forgiven our sins and keep not forgiving our brother, or believing God is worthy praise and not praising his name!!Jesus always did, he was constantly in action, and gave everything of himself to give Abba father praise!!
I pray that God will open our eyes to live in his freedom, see Jesus in the mirror and be more and more like him not forgetting who he is, but be the salt and light of this world, without just settling down only for listening and believing, but faithfully give God all praise through our actions, and truly living for God.
Be the one who show his faith with his action.
Thank you Jesus.
